  7. but the Soviets' dispositions will also undoubtedly improve.

  11.     As a footwear-development engineer, I applaud the painful
  12. accuracy of your story. Years of development and manufacturing
  13. in the U.S. built the foundation for the athletic-shoe
  14. industry. Despite $9 billion in annual retail sales, many of us
  15. will not reap the profits, because we have been displaced by
  16. Asian factory workers.
